Riley State of the 🎑πŸ”₯

Key points:

1. Change

Are major roster changes coming? No. Trade Jimmy? No. Extend Jimmy? We'll have to see about his ...

2. Availability. Jimmy's ability to play more games. He wants more games from Tyler, too.

2 a. Culture, the "erosion of Culture".

He later denies that he sees an erosion of culture but in the same breath says that Culture and erosion of culture have to be looked at in the summer. Having listened to the entire address I think he means the erosion of the culture of availability, which is why I put this as a subset of Availability.

2. Availability, cont.

You look at "all the young, up and coming" teams, he mentions OKC, Minnesota, Indiana, Orlando, "Boston with their new roster"...

"For some reason" the players on those teams "are playing 70-80 games."

Availability, this current roster's availability to play 70-80 games, is his main theme. Implicitly, if Miami's current roster can play together for 70-80 games it can compete with Boston. So, that is a brain dead statement and I think we can all agree that Riley is brain dead. He is not asked,

"Coach, your average wins every goddamned year since the end of the Big 3 is 45-37, what the fuck are you smoking? Why do you think those Big 3 teams averaged 59 fucking wins every year for four years and every one of your goddamned teams since 2014 has averaged forty-fucking-five? Did it have nothing to do with TALENT?"

He was not asked that. He's brain dead.
