关于卞仲耘同志的昭雪决定

A decision to exonerate Comrade Bian Zhongyun   

卞仲耘同志，女，安徽无为人。生于一九一六年六月十九日，家庭出身地主。本人成分学生。文化程度大学毕业。一九三八年春参加革命，一九四一年三月加入中国共产党，中教行政一级。

Comrade Bian Zhong-yun, female, from Wuwei County, An-hui Province, was born on June 19, 1916, in a landowner’s family. Her personal status was student, and received college education. She joined the revolution in spring 1938, and became a Party member in March 1941. She was a Class 1 High School Administrator.  

卞仲耘同志从小学开始接受党的教育，一九三八年春在长沙参加革命。同年秋，在汉口参加战地服务团，到大别山区国民党军队中做我党的地下工作。在皖南事变后严重的白色恐怖下，在陕西城固参加地下党。从一九四〇年春至一九四五年秋，先后在陕西城固西北大学，四川成都燕京大学、齐鲁大学，积极参加我党领导的学运工作。卞仲耘同志在艰苦的地下斗争中，坚定不移，对党忠诚，为我党领导的国民党统治区的学生运动做出了贡献。

Comrade Bian began to receive the Party's ideology at elementary school. She joined the Revolution in Chang-sha in 1938. In the fall of the same year, she joined the service group of anti-Japan war, going to the KMT's army in Da-bie Mountains, as our Party's underground worker. Under the severe terrorism after the Wan-nan Incident, she joined the Party in Cheng-gu, Shan-xi Province. From spring of 1940 to fall of 1945, she took an active part in the student movement led by the Party at the Northwest University in Gu-cheng, Shan-xi Province and Yan-jing University and Qi-lu University in Chengdu, Si-chuan Province. Comrade Bian made contributions to the student movement led by our Party in the area under the KMT’s rule. 

一九四五年冬至一九四九年春，卞仲耘同志在晋冀鲁豫边区和华北解放区，先后在新华社晋冀鲁豫总分社、《人民日报》编辑部、新华社陕北广播电台编辑部任助理编辑、编辑。她工作勤勤恳恳，认真完成党交给的各项任务。

 From the winter of 1945 to spring of 1949, Comrade Bian worked at the border area of shan-xi, he-bei, shan-dong and he-nan and the liberation district of north China, working as  assistant editor and editor at the branch office of the xin-hua news agency, the editor department of the People's Daily, and the shan-bei radio station of the new China news agency. Bian worked industriously and conscientiously, and successfully completed all the tasks that assigned to her by the Party. 

卞仲耘同志早年在安徽无为和四川成都，曾先后担任过小学和中学教员。一九四九年北平解放后，调北京师大女附中工作，历任教员、教导员、副教导主任、教导主任，党总支副书记、书记。文化大革命前任师大女附中党总支书记兼副校长，在师大女附中担任领导工作的十七年间，卞仲耘同志坚决贯彻毛主席的无产阶级教育路线，认真执行党的教育方针和知识分子政策，注意全面提高教育质量。她爱校如家，关心教师，热爱学生；工作认真负责，任劳任怨，经常带病坚持工作，作风朴实，密切联系群众，善于做深入细致的思想工作；坚持党的原则，按政策办事；敢于对资产阶级的丑恶思想和行为作斗争。十七年来，卞仲耘同志为办好师大女附中这所重点中学，为培养无产阶级革命事业接班人作出了贡献。

Comrade Bian was an elementary and high school teacher in Wuwei, Anhui Province and Chengdu, Sichuan Province. After the liberation of Peiping in 1949, Bian was transferred to the High School for Girls Attached to Beijing Normal University, working as teacher, instructor, deputy dean, dean, vice Party branch secretary and Party branch secretary. Before the cultural revolution, she was the Party branch secretary and deputy principal of the school. During the 17 years when she was a leader of the school, Bian firmly carried out Chairman Mao’s proletariat line in education, implemented the Party’s policy for education and intellectuals, paid attention to raising overall education quality. She took the school as home, cared teachers, loved students. She worked conscientiously in spite of illness. Her work style was simple and kept close contact with the masses, always conducting thought work in a delicate and thorough manner. She insisted in the Party’s principles, conducting business according to relevant policy.  She bravely fought the ugly bourgeoisie thoughts and behaviors. During the 17 years, Bian made contributions in managing well the High School for Girls as a key high school and training successors for the proletariat cause.

无产阶级文化大革命开始后，卞仲耘同志立场坚定，敌我分明。对党和群众始终坚持正确态度，表现了自我牺牲精神。对别有用心分子的破坏活动，及时进行了揭发和斗争，坚贞不屈。由于林彪、“四人帮”颠倒敌我，纵容、支持坏人，疯狂摧残党的老干部，卞仲耘同志横遭诬陷迫害、非刑毒打，不幸于一九六六年八月五日壮烈牺牲。

After the beginning of the cultural revolution, comrade Bian took a firm position, clearly demarcated enemy and friends, and maintained in the correct attitude towards the Party and mass, presenting the spirit of self sacrifice. She exposed and fought the ulterior motivated activities of destruction in a timely and steadfast manner. Because Lin Biao and ‘Gang of Four’ confused the enemy and friends, indulged and supported malefactors, madly persecuted senior cadres,  Comrade Bian was unbridled frame and persecuted, beaten up, and sacrificed on August 5, 1966.

卞仲耘同志历史清白，参加革命二十八年来，经历了抗日战争、解放区战争、社会主义革命时期和社会主义建设时期斗争的考验。她的一生，是革命的一生，战斗的一生。她是中国共产党的优秀党员，人民的好干部。卞仲耘同志的牺牲，是我党教育事业的一个损失。

Comrade Bian had a clean background. During her 28 years with the Revolution, she took part in the Anti-Japan War, Liberation War, and socialist revolution and construction. She led a revolutionary and fighting life. She was an excellent Party member and a good cadre for the people. The death of Bian is a loss of the educational cause of our Party.
