The comrades at Rev Books sound like a lot of fun, don't they?
Name a communist comedian. Take my comrade-ette, please. I don't think there are any communist comedians. I don't think communists laugh. I think of the people of Russia from 1917-1989. In my mind's eye, a lot of dour faces. I think of the people of Beijing who I've seen with my own eyes on two trips. I can think of one scene of happiness: two young women walking arm-in-arm, talking and laughing. Now, I will say, I have been to one other communist country, Cuba. They had fun, the Cuban people in Baracoa had street dances every night.
