Premier League

God's Righteous Angels continue to lead the Prison Shirtings 2-1 now in the 78'.

Liverpool won 2-1 today at Lester. That makes a perfect four-for-four start for the Ex-Cannibals. Goo ballclub 'Bals. This season through a measly four matches has gone the mirror image of last. City won, what, ten in a row to start? League was out of anybody's reach early on. Liverpool played superbly in big matches, beat City three of four I do b'lieve but stumbled, and all season long, against lesser sides. Woulda drove ya nuts if you was a fan of cannibalism, which I ain't. This year however it is City who were first to drop points, at Wolves last week. Recently promoted team, Wolves. Blow, Wolves do. And it is Liverpool who are perfect this year. I watched highlights of their win today. My God, they are good. The score flattered Lester. Liverpool's 'keeper committed a howler, that is the only reason Lester got on the board. In spite of that blunder Liverpool upgraded at the position over the summer, getting Alisson Becker to replace Loris Karius of Champions League infamy. They added Virgil van Dijk at mid-season last year to seal their sieve defense. Those were inspired signings. Liverpool have got one of the great owners in sport in John Henry and it shows.

Manchester United play at Bournemouth tomorrow. Should be a win but so should Brighton have been a win. It is Jose Mourinho's third season and historically the bell tolls for Mou in his third years at clubs. His history is...FT City 2 Newcastle 1...Mourinho's history is shockingly consistent, he either leaves or gets the axe in or immediately after his third year and his teams' form drops off. United could not have gotten a better manager than Mourinho who is their third since Sir Alex retired. Is it then the players? I don't know. United do not have great ownership as do City and Liverpool.
