Tis five days till Christmas and all through my house not a rocket was shooting and the "Privateers" were drowning.
The "Heat" are waffle-waffle...stabilizing. 13-16 going into tonight's game they held on to beat 16-14 Houston at AAA, where Miami generally SUCKS. That's three in a rowski for the "Heat" and 7 of their last ten. They are tied in wins and losses with Borelando for the 8th and final playoff spot. Miami is creeping toward .500 now at 14-16.
In Pittsburgh my beloved "Dribbling Panthers" took no prisoners after sinking Nawlins' pirate ship 'neath the waves of the confluence. Pitt massacred 'em 99-57. The "Mountain Cats" now stand at 9-3 on the (effectively pre-) season, 7-1 at the Pete. They have one more powder puff game on December 29 against Colgate Palmolive before entering conference play for the duration starting when the #9 North Carolina "Black Feet" invade the Nawth on 1/5/19. Powder puffs though they have played Pitt lost to some of that rouge refuse last year at this time and went 0-fer in conference play. They won't beat UNC but they aren't going to go winless in the ACC this year. There has been drastic improvement and head man Jeff Capel is proving himself a nascent coaching star. So H2P tonight. And MIA, keep showing up. The season is young.
