The Doomsday Scenario

My fellow Americans this is the darkest night. We are on the edge of the cliff, staring into a vantablack pit of death and ruin. Nothing we have so far sacrificed, 45,000 killed; we have roared past the total number killed in the Korean War, will are within perhaps ten days, probably fewer, of the Vietnam killed; 825,000 cases, a catastrophic new record of 39,500 new cases just today, 20,000,000 unemployment claims already filed, a $2 trillion economic aid bill, $500 billion more passed by Congress today, states running through half or more of their unemployment compensation reserve funds, a teetering stock market, oil trading below $0; the testing lag; A month of social distancing. All of this, all of this: sent over that cliff into that abyss. Are you better off than you were four months ago? No. A month ago? No. We Are Worse Off. Above all, the Herbert Hoover of the 21st Century, a man without a plan, with no clue. Nothing Trump has attempted has worked. It is just murder now. Trump is bent on coldly killing as many Americans as it takes to right the economy in order to win an election of the survivors. Will we make it to November? What kind of country will be left in November? A failed state. What kind of election will we have? A rigged election. This is the worst crisis ever to hit the Republic.
