"Peril", Woodward and Costa

Biden started privately calling the White House "the tomb," and he found the White House cold and lonely, according to the book.

"He is not comfortable living in the White House," Biden's chief of staff, Ron Klain, told others, according to the authors.

You know--Now, I don't know why Biden feels that way--but I had the feeling after the election that Biden would not feel comfortable living in the same house that 46-1 had. 46-1 turned the White House from hallowed ground to shadowed ground for me, like a "tomb." Klain is quoted in the present tense, whenever W&C interviewed him. Does he still not like it. I haven't channeled that feeling for a long, long time. But I did at first. That was a bad place for four years, evil resided there. I remember thinking I'd fucking fumigate that place and have an exorcism performed, maybe turn it into a split level. Other than 46-1's heeby-jeeby karma I don't know why else Biden would not be comfortable living there. He certainly was familiar with it! It's weird that I would have had the same feeling as Biden were I in his shoes, and that I correctly projected that onto him. I've always liked Joe Biden.
