Thirty-two secs--The buggy ride. Good grief. Another coitus interruptus by Kubrick, though. Danny got off the buggy and tried the door handle to room 237 but it didn't give way. There was a tenth of a second flash of the twin girls that Mr. Grady chopped to pieces. Danny then pedaled off looking over his shoulder.
Jack is losing it. In the next scene he angrily snaps at Wendy for interrupting him while he's "working" ("All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.").
There's a big snow storm on Saturday and Wendy and Danny go out and play in it. As they're out Jack is in the iconic trance. 
The storm has knocked the telephones out. Wendy gets on the ham radio to connect to the police station to ask status. "They probably will stay down until Spring" the gendarme tells her. And then Danny gets back on his buggy. He's going to meet the twins this time.
Only Nicholson can do that.
