This was a significant game for mid-December--on the road, against a quality team 15-13 coming in, Miami 16-12. Exactly a one game advantage for the "Heat." Now the "Heat" have a two-game advantage over the "Sixers." Philly was knocked out of the playoffs, temporarily of course, Miami sits just outside Middelsborough in fifth place. The third-seed "Male Cows" in the Upper East Side are third and third, fourth and fifth are separated by one game. Six through ten, five teams are separated by one game. So few games have been played, Beer, :Lake Mistake and Chazz are tops with 30, CHI is low with 27. A modest win streak by the game-short teams and they'd be out of Middlesbourgh and in the 'loffs.
With Jimmy, Bam, and tonight Tyler out injured, and Kyle and Duncan erratic and inconsistent, 17-12, a .586 win % (as a decimal) is cause for optimism. Miami is still only 3 1/2 games off top seed Beer. Lonng season, Bees and Gees, but so far, I'll take 17-12 and .586 all day!
Kyle and D-Ro are the keys. They just have to find consistency in their games or the "Heat" despite being close, will not close.Right now they'd be on the road for a first-round playofff series against Cleve. How 'bout them "Cadavers" with that gaudy 18-12 mark and two straight wins over Miami! When we get J-Buts and Bam-Bam back we will be as complete a team as Pat Riley put together. But the keys are consistency from the point and the shooting guard, Kyle and Duncan.
