I am sure I don't know where the road paved with bad intentions leads then.
None of us had any say on being here, yet the responsibility for all, for the fate of the planet and of its seven billion constituent atoms rests with us. We discharge our responsibilities and make the decisions that they require equipped only with one fundamental tool, good intentions. Fallible and inexpert, the cobblestones we lay make for a bumpy road, we will plant some land mines too which may maim and kill, and near the end of our time here we may well see our destination come into view along the road we have paved. If it is hell it will not be a trail of human fallibility that led us there, it will be those land mines we planted with bad intention. If however the stone be laid with good intention, even if crudely, and the mines a minimum the road so paved will take us elsewhere.
