Seeking the Psyche.

Friends and enemies there is something going on in the unofficial world championship professional basketball series currently being played in America. It is interesting to me,  I don't know what it is, and maybe it will interest you:

-Unarguably, the two best teams in the American league are playing each other.
-The champion is the first to win four games of a maximum seven played.
-The two teams are currently tied at two wins apiece.
-The first game was decided by just four points.

That is entirely predictable. Then, the following happened:

-The loser in the first game won the second game by 19 points.
-The loser in the second game won the third game by 36 points.
-The loser in the third game won the fourth game by 16 points.

Those are enormous margins in a professional championship series, entirely unexpected. The swings from game to game however are unique-this has never happened before-and inexplicable. Those are not the same thing, a thing can be unique and yet entirely understandable and a thing can be inexplicable and have happened before. This is both.

Psychology is the last refuge of the perplexed. Seeking the psyche of the Miami "Heat" and San Antonio "Spurs."

The fifth game is tonight.
