Major upset in scholarly short pants basketball today. Middle Tennessee, 15th seeded, beat 2nd seeded Michigan State. MTSU never trailed in the game, a "convincing" win ESPN described it. VERY surprising. MTSU is only the eighth fifteen-seed to beat a two.
Hawaii beat Cal, first tourney win in "Rainbows" history. Hawaii was a thirteen and Cal a four. So big upset there. And Syracuse, a ten, who almost didn't get into the tournament, beat Dayton, a seven.
