You see headlines like this all the time now:

"Here's Everything the Republican Party Is Doing to Try to Stop Donald Trump"-People

"Is the GOP's stop Trump campaign too late?"-CNN

Let me take you back. Let's go back to the beginning of this when everybody was laughing at Trump. The Huffington Post decided not to cover Trump as a serious political candidate. They relegated him to their "entertainment" section. The Republican Party should never have let him run for their nomination.

?

The political parties in America are like private clubs. You don't have a right to run for either party's nomination, the parties can set rules for entering just as they have rules for winning, just as they had rules for which candidates could participate in the "main event" debate and which were relegated to the "undercard," just like the national GOP had Trump and the others sign "no third party run" pledges, as some state parties did to require ballot access. Those pledges by the way were reciprocal, the candidates to each other as well as to the party and the party to each of them. It's the "Pottery Party Rule," the Republican Party broke it, they own it. The Republican Party could have excluded Trump from the debates as an entertainment-only low-life even if he had 90% support in the polls!

And let me take you back to this page in the beginning. I suggested if any of the other GOP candidates really considered this Nazi to be beyond the pale, if they thought his ideas, and his supporters, were dangerous, if they had any sense of political decency, any self-respect, they would walk off the debate stage rather than debase themselves and the party by legitimizing Trump with their presence. If all had done it, even if a critical mass had done it, that would have stopped Donald Trump! Instead we have seen Trump refuse to debate them!

So this is a suggestion I throw out to God's Party and Hillary Clinton: refuse to debate Trump. I don't care that he's the nominee of one of only two major political parties in America, that is the Republicans' problem, don't make it yours, or America's. "They are laughing at us" around the world, when they're not alarmed. Donald Trump has no legitimacy as a leader of the Great Republic, and of the world. Confer no more on him than the low-lifes of the Republican Party already have.
