Intense game of short pants football, which the undersigned saw about 25 minutes of at his breakfast joint, the eponymous Latin Cafe, going on in the drizzly, sodden suburbs of Manchester between the "Chevies" and the eponymous Harry Kane Team. Which was eponyless ('Arry out with bad 'Amstring). The match is just about over. Chevies up 1-0 on an 82' goal.

Intensely played match as the undersigned done said. Short pants flying all over the pitch. United had far the better run of play during the 25 minutes I saw but it was random football. The chances, all United's, were not set up, they came from fortuitous bounces of the ball, with the shooters not set and the ball then zipping across the goal mouth or off the post. Tottenham had...FT, United 1 Spurs 0...one clean shot that I saw, the striker set, teed the ball up and shot it about ten yards over De Gea's head, and then turned his back and his head skyward wearing an agonized "So CLOSE!" aspect on his face. So close? NOT!

Not impressed. Two of the best teams in "La Liga Premier" as the Spanish telecast flashed, and aside from the intensity of effort, moi was not impressed. The passes were not crisp, the shots haphazard or incompetently struck when not haphazard, nothing like what I have seen, albeit only in highlights, from God's Righteous Team of Angels.
