Tonight two very good teams went calling on two hapless teams. Denver, with a slightly better season record than Miami had entering last night’s game played in Cleveland against the “Cadavers”, who had a significantly worse record than New Orleans did last night. As last night, the inferior team, but at home, won one that went down to the wire, 104-102. Of course Miami knows the ignominy of losing to the worthless Cleveland organization, too. Just recently. After toying with them the game before in Rainbow City.
And in the Queen City the woeful “Hornets” hosted the Houston “Rockets” who had won 18 more games. Charlotte won 108-99 over a team with James Harden and Russell Westbrook. Houston is in a three game funk, having lost in New York, getting blown out at home by the superb “Clipper Kawhis” and tonight getting beaten not close but fairly convincingly by Cleveland-upon-Tobacco Road.
It’s still the Association and no matter how good and solid or hapless and dysfunctional you are, both of you are still Association teams and if you are good and clearly better you are still going to lose a smidgen to the detritus and if you suck and are an abortion you are still going to win the odd game every now and again.
