Pitt's win over an SEC school on the road unquestionably was the conference's biggest win of the day. This was The Johnny Majors Classic. Some don't know this but these two schools have ties going back a long way. Majors was the Heisman runner-up (I think to Paul Hornung) at Tennessee, was the "Major Change in Pitt Football" from 1973-76, then went back home and coached the "Vols" for sixteen years. Those were years of success but not ultimate success and near the end Tennessee fans thought "We Have A Majors Problem." He was forced out in the 1992 season. Then went back to Pitt where he was always beloved. He was "eased out" after four horrible years but stayed on as an administrator and school ambassador. I wish this game was played every year. I can't speak for UT fans but there is a lot of good will and a sort of affection for Tennessee among Pitt fans.
Other winners:
#19 Va Tech at home over Middle Tennessee. snore.
#22 UMG at home over App. State. lol.
Virginia in Klantown over Big Ten Illinoise. Illinoise just BLOWS. They lost at home last week to UTSA, the Utah Transsexual Students Academy. Before that they beat NEBRASKA. That's how bad they are.
UhLosers:
Florida State gonna have a hard time ever living that one down.
Syracuse lost at home to Big Ten Rutgers. The "highlights" were as boring as I've ever seen. Surprised bc the 'Cuse won at Ohio last week. But then, Ohio lost at home to DUQUESNE this week. Dabo Babers' pants are on fire his seat is so hot.
NC State's two TD loss in Starkeville to SEC Miss. State was a big demerit.
The ACC went 2-3 counting wins over other Power Five schools and all losses.
PAC 12 (3-6)

Oregon State beat Hawaii in Starbucks.
Losers:
Man, it's brutal to put Colorado in this column for a three-point loss at home to #5 Texas A&M of the SEC but that's the way. Aren't gonna start parsing losses as "good" or "bad." It's a L.
#14 USC lost in LaLa to the Trees, another PAC school. That's a bad loss for the conference.
#21 Utah lost to BYU in Provo. First time in seven the Fighting Mormons have won that game. Bad loss for the PAC.
Cal lost at TCU. That's bad.
Wershington got smeared at Meeshagan. Not a good look.
Hairy Boner oh my goodness Hairy Boner. Hairy Boner GOT KILLED by San Diego State in Tucson!

B1G (8-2)
Winners:
Biggest one here was #10 Iowa's over #9 Iowa State in Ames. Very impressive. Ju know both Iowa and Iowa State are AAU members? Extremely impressive for a small state to have its only two major schools in the AAU.
#11 Paterno-Sandusky over Ball State in Towel-Snappy Valley. Snore, but look out for PSU this year. I predict they are going to win the conference and go to the national championship playoffs. James Franklin is coaching like a man possessed.
Michigan throttled the PAC's Washington in Ann Arbor.
#18 Wisc over Eastern Mich.
Minny over Miami of Ohio.
Rutgers. Greg Schiano got the Scarlet Pimpernel's playin'!
Purdue
