My favorite photo of every photo I've ever taken. Jeezus.

One stumbles upon the physical beauty of this city by chance. Here at 7:06 a.m. There is no one else who got that shot at that hour. It was completely random. Had I not lived in the building I did. If I had not gotten up exactly when I did, for the rain had already stopped and the sun was rising and the moment was evanescent. If I had not raised the blinds immediately.

I set the alarm for 6:45 Sept. 13 after checking the sunrise time to see if I could capture something similar. No chance. It was overcast and gray. And yet, in different buildings from different angles at different times, perhaps at the same time, others could see beauty the equal. We take beauty for granted down here until these moments. If these moments are seen by bleary, preoccupied viewers.
