Home teams first unless indicated.
#24 Coastal Carolina-Troy. No idea, don't care, won't invest.
#1 Georgia-Florida (JAX). Dawgs-12
Tulane-#2 Cincinnati. Care. No idea. Won't invest
#4 Oklahoma-Texas Tech. How bad is TT this year? 2-3 in Big XII, 5-3 overall. They beat Houston, pretty good win; Stephen A. Austin, cupcake; FIU 54-21; Oh my God, Texas laid 70 on them! Doubled them up 70-35; beat WVU by 3 there; Oh my God TCU put a double nickel and two pennies on them in Lubbock! Okay, I've seen enough. OU-20…Updated 3:20 pm: “How bad is TT?” They just fired their coach lol.
#5 Ohio State-#20 PSU. I already know this line is OSU-15. I'll put a nickel on "Bucks" when all my bets come out 4:45 Friday.
Ooh! Delish game. #8 East Lansing Spartak-#6 Meeshagan. God, one of the most hilarious college tackle football plays of all time happened in this game a few years ago. MI led with the ball, 4th down, and like 10" left. The fucking MI punter fumbled the fucking snap, tried to pick it up and shoveled it right to a a "Spartan" who took it to the 'ouse. Sparty won. Good God. The play-by-play caster's call is famous. He's famous, I just don't remember his name. Great voice and when something dramatic happens his great voice breaks as it rises, "Oh he fumbled the sna-ap!” Anyway. That was however many years ago, this is now. MSU has not gotten any respect from the 'ouse this year. They have a new coach, Mel Tucker is his name, he left Colorado in the lurch and man, Mel Tucker has got the "Spartans" playin' lights out. They're unbeaten, ain't they? Lemme check...Yeah they is, 4-0 in conference, 7-0 overall. And of course MI is unbeaten. Jim Harbaugh, what do you have to say about that? "Pretty neat!" Man, this has to be one of the very few times these schools have met with both unbeaten. They always play late in the season, of course.
I have a leetle bit of a soft-spot for MSU. Duffy Daugherty, their coach in the '60's was from BARNESBORO! Lived right acrost the street from us (when he lived there). It was Duffy's team that played that legendary game against Notre Dame. Number one and number two or close thereto. Ara Parsegian kicked a FG to tie rather than go for the win. No OT in those days. Ara figured, correctly it turned out, that a tie--the game must have been at Spartan Stadium--would preserve ND's chance at number one while a loss would end it.
I wish I could think of another story to waste time because I’m really having trouble with this one.
Common opponents: MSU beat the "Mildcats" by 15 there; MI beat them by 26 in the Big 'ouse. MSU beat the "Huskers" by 3 in East Lansing; MI beat them by the exact 3 but in Lincoln; MSU beat RU by 18 (but it was closer than that for most of the game) in Piscataway; MI won by 7 in Ann Arbor(!). Demerit Harbaugh Not much to choose from there. MI has beaten Wershington by 21 in Ann Arbor, WI by 3 TD's in Madison ("We would not be denied"); MSU smoked Miami in the Gardens. AP voters like MI more; Vegas don't like MSU too good. Game's at MSU...This is gonna be a tight line and a tight game...Hm, hm, hm...MSU-1 no MI-1. Choose! It's just the line. All Right. My first instinct was MSU-1 but MI is the higher-rated and MSU is not a Vegas fave...MI-1.
#7 Oregon-Colorado. Oregon came home for me last week against UCLA. Nike 6-1 (3-1). Bisons 2-5 (1-3). Prolly gonna be double digits. Commons: "Ducks" beat Hairy Boner by 22 in Eugene; Raping Buffs blanked them 34-0 in Boulder (Hairy Boner is bad.). Ah, O beat Cal by 7 in Eugene; CO got smoked 26-3 in Berkeley. That's it? Jesus, that's not much. O's only loss at Trees 31-24 in OT. Buffs lost to A&M by 3 in Boulder, got KILLED by MN 30-0(!) in Boulder; got KILLED by Arizona State 35-13 in Tempe; got KILLED by USC...Okay, I've seen enough. Quacks-15.
#9 Iowa-Wisconsin...There are so many fucking games. I'm gonna skip over this one for now and go to #17 Pitt-Miami. Pitt-7.
That's seven, eleven to go, enough for Part 1. I spent too much time on Michigan State. Will pick up Iowa-WI next time.
