With a little over two minutes remaining in Miami’s blow out loss to Denver last night “Nuggets” big man Nikola Jokic grabbed a rebound from Bam Adebayo, probably fouled Bam on the play but no foul was called, and headed up court with the ball.

Jokic, hands above his head about to make a pass, was in a vulnerable position to injury and “Heat” forward Markieff Morris, making NO attempt to play the ball, checked Jokic hard in his right ribs.

Jokic returned the blow. It was proportional.

Still, you cannot do that. Retaliation is not a good idea especially with 15,000 eyewitnesses and the basketball police watching and TV replay available.

And Morris was down in obvious pain for a few minutes. Jokic may have injured his shoulder. Jokic apparently did not sustain a rib injury from Morris' initial hit but he well could have.

But of course since this is a Jimmy Butler-led team (Jimmy's an asshole) it didn't end there. Jimmy led the entire "Heat" team to the "Nugget" dressing room door for a continuation of Thug Life.
Fortunately, "Nugget" team security kept them out. Morris should be suspended, Jokic should be suspended, Butler should be suspended.
