Friday’s historic opinion, written by Justice Alito and joined by the Supreme Court's conservative bloc, overturns almost 50 years of precedent. Justice Alito's guiding principle is that a right to an abortion cannot be found in the Constitution. He adheres to a legal philosophy known as “original intent,” which involves scrutinizing the founding document's language to derive direction on contemporary issues.

Alito today in Dobbs:

Our decision returns the issue of abortion to those legislative bodies...

Yet yesterday, in a case where one of those legislative bodies regulated firearms possession, following the precise language of the Constitution mandating the states to "well regulate", SCOTUS took the issue away from the legislative body.

Applying the same "original intent" judicial philosophy and its method of "scrutinizing the founding document's language" to Amendment II,

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

 SCOTUS consistently has rendered it,

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Man's philosophy is to keep The Man superior.
