Five people were stabbed Sunday evening at New York City's Penn Station by a man experiencing homelessness...
Okay, now pay attention, this is your Politically Correct teacher speaking:
You know how we musn't say "illegal immigrants" no more on accounta "people are not illegal"? So yeah like that. We mustn't say a person is "homeless" anymore (evidently (at least not at abcnews)), we must say (s)he is experiencing homelessness; yeah, that's the ticket, he's "between homes" like a person is "between jobs" not "jobless" I guess, I don't fucking know. I forget what we're supposed to call "illegal immigrants", paperless people?, people experiencing paperlessness?
If the purpose of this new mouthful is to remove a stigma attached to "homeless", then why did they include the root homeless? Like it's going to throw us off if they say say "experiencing homelessness", like "Hoo, this millionaire lives on Park Avenue but he's in a dissociative state and is experiencing homelessness, anybody got the anti-experiencing-homelessness vaccine shot?"
Class over.
