What if somebody assassinated Hillary Clinton?

"She's a horrible, horrible human being."

What do we do with a horrible, horrible human being?

Exactly.

“In one way, she’s a monster, O.K.?”

Among other things, Trump said, Clinton would do away with the Second Amendment. He thought maybe her Secret Service guards should give up their weapons, and see how just trying to reason with an attacker went.

So Mr. and Mrs. America, hearing Donald Trump for the first time, may tune Trump out for the duration but Trump is not speaking only to them. For a year now Donald Trump has engaged in a call and response routine with his supporters. He blows the dog whistle, Hillary Clinton is a "horrible, horrible human being," or not human, a "monster," or "She's the devil."

And his supporters respond "Kill her." If they do kill her, will Trump be held responsible?

For a year now Trump has been encouraging, approving, defending, predicting violence by his supporters.

Not always. Sometimes they occur inside. In Cleveland on March 12, right after the capture above:
Call.

Response.

And Trump supporters have responded with violence.

Trump himself has said many times he wanted to punch his opponents in the face.

So if Hillary Clinton were to be assassinated, would Donald Trump be held responsible?
