I'm going to try my sincerest best to explain my sincere feelings here without violating myself a sincere pledge I made and urged on the better pencils of our nature. I will attempt to do this via hypothetical.
-Person "A" accuses person "B" of attempting to get him arrested for something he, "A," claims he did not do. False arrest."A" makes a public, specific allegation:
"'B' told the police, 'A' has pornographic images of underage girls on his computer' and he got the cops to try to seize my computer!"
-The police know that "A's" attempted false arrest claim against "B" of making an attempted false claim against "A" is itself false. The police know that it is false because "B" did go to them with a claim against "A": that "A" had sex with underage boys. The police were particularly interested in "B's" information because they had heard from numerous other persons that "A" and his friends had an informal man-boy sex ring and they, the police, were investigating that. Child rape.
-The police immediately put out a statement that they had never attempted to seize "A's" computer to look for underage girl porn.
-"A" puts out a counter-statement that the police had tried, at "B's" urging, to search his home, office and a storage facility for girl-child porn.
-Other police agencies involved in the man-boy child rape ring investigation put out statements flatly denying that any of them ever attempted to seize child porn from "A."
-This becomes a massive public spectacle which is reported out by the mass media as "A" getting caught making a false claim against "B" and against the police.
Okay, that is the hypothetical. Who wins? "A." "A" wins because two negatives cancel each other out. "A" wins because, now, when it is revealed that the police are investigating "A" it will look like "A's" original false allegation against "B" was true. "A" wins because he has preemptively disadvantaged the police psychologically. The police will look bad now if they continue to investigate "A" vigorously for the only thing they were investigating "A" for, the man-boy child sex ring, and the police know that they will look bad now, and will not investigate the man-boy child sex ring vigorously.
"A" wins.
