Report Cards

Good Guy David Cutcliffe's Duke "Blue Devils" beat Bad Guy North Carolina 27-17 in Apple Chill. Duke is 4-0 and plays home to Miam-uh(14) next week. Bet Duke wins that one.

We have an "unexpected result" in scholarly concussion play: North Carolina State has beaten Florida State(12).

Tennessee, coming off that excruciating loss to Florida last week beat, "Championship side" as it would be called in Merry Ol', Massachusetts 17-13. A win is not a win is not a win in these things. This score will heap more pressure on Rocky Top coach Butch...what-the-fuck is his name, not Davis, Butch...FUCK. Une momento por favor...Jones, Butch Jones, than last week's game did.

No victory lights at the Cathedral this year! Hoo-doggie. My beloved Pitt "Panthers" were skinned agin by Jawja Tech 35-17. Pitt is 1-3 on the year and has not covered a game. There is a sense that head cat Pat Narduzzi has put this thing together with chewing gum and scotch tape and it is coming undone this year. He has not recruited lights-out and has supplemented with one-and-done quarterbacks in each of his three years. and has had three different offensive coordinators. So, three different offensive schemes, a new QB every year, that doesn't sound to me..."optimal."

But, the biggest mystery in Pittsburgh has been the 'efense. Narduzzi is a defensive mind, was a D-Coordinator for years at Michigan State. You'd think no matter how slap-dash the offense the defense might let 'em hang. But last year it was exactly the opposite. If it had not been for O-Coordinator Matt Canada the lights would have gone out last year. Against "Premier League" competition Pitt gave up 39, 45, 37, 27, 34, 31, 39, 51, 42, 14, 61 (And that in a win!), and 31 points. JESUS CHRIST! This season they've given up 33, 59, and 35. No: no victory lights in Pittsburgh. Warning lights.
