Five broken ribs and lung contusions from being tackled by a 59 year-old anesthesiologist? What, did he wrestle part-time? Paul is 54. We are not being told the whole story here. That does not compute. Anything is possible of course but what we were told is that this was a tackle, not a tackle and a pile on, not a tackle and a kick-the-man-when-he's-down, a tackle.
Tackle

And it couldn't have been as hard as that, Boucher was 59 years old!

Paul does not have osteoporosis or something that would make his bones brittle that we are being told.

Why were we told yesterday Paul was fine!? Wtf?

Why were we told a day late? This happened Friday, the reports first came out yesterday afternoon. What's up with that? We have no details about this tackle. Paul's chief of staff Doug Stafford told WaPo today:

“This type of injury is caused by high velocity severe force."

Dude. No. Or if yes, then he didn't get "tackled," he got hit by a vehicle. Not even
that is considered "high velocity." "High velocity" is a term used in blood spatter analysis to apply to gunshot wounds! What, was Boucher shot out of a cannon? C'mon, man. That is utter bullshit, high velocity. In motor vehicle...Hell, I'm not even sure "high velocity" is used in motor vehicle-pedestrian impacts. How does a physically "normal" 59 year-old man break five ribs and cause bruised lungs in a physically normal 54 year-old man with a simple TACKLE?

Why was Boucher charged with only misdemeanor assault if he caused serious bodily injury? Why didn't five broken ribs elevate it to a felony?

We know next to nothing about this, what we are told changes and bullshit gets piled on top of it.
