Life in the Quarantine: The Crazy Hour.

Scary combination. It’s when I’m prone to post odd, out of the blue things. Caveat emptor.

Jean Seberg was too briefly the “It girl” in international cinema in the late ‘50’s, early ‘60’s. She was more beautiful, more effortlessly so, and more stylish than, take your pick, Monroe, Paltrow. In Breathless, in Bonjour Tristesse she defined the French New Wave style in film. Parisian young women emulated her haircut, her sunglasses, her clothes. She was born in Iowa. Driven to despair by harassment and rumors spread by the FBI Jean Seberg committed suicide in 1979 and is buried in the cemetery to the stars, Montparnasse. A luminous beauty for all time lost for all time.
