Trump Epidemic April 12, Easter Sunday, Midnight

*This is an update on the below. In fact, I am deleting everything written in the previous post timed 8:42 p.m.

Johns Hopkins has tallied the numbers through April 12, it is now past midnight into the 13th.

557,300: Total number of Trump Virus cases. There were 526,400 total cases yesterday, April 11

28,900: number of new cases of Trump Virus on April 12.  There were 29,900 yesterday, April 11, a decline of 1,000. Still better. There were a record 35,100 new cases on Friday.

Daily cases per Johnnies.

22,079: Total number of people Killed by Trump.

1,573: Number of people Killed by Trump today, 347 less than Trump Killed yesterday.

3.96%: Trump Kill rate. Same as earlier, still rising daily for 10-14 days.

With a full day's stats in and the Johnnies' updated graph of daily cases it is still two days in a row of declines in the increase of cases, and two days in a row decline in the increase of people Killed by Trump. The logarithmic scale, also through April 12, provides the curve that all of us want to see flatten. If you stare at that long enough you can convince yourself those moderate increases the last two or three days are a flatter kind of increase. I can buy that as phrase. It is not exponential as it was from late February through late March. But you know, flat is this ________. See? That fucking logarithmic scale is not _______. It's tilted ever so slightly up. We don't want "ever so slightly up." We don't want to eat 'shrooms in order to see______. We should be able to see _______ without a chemical imbalance in our brains.

It is good news, less bad news certainly, goodish news, but like the cop beating the suspect for speeding and running a red light who asks the suspect whether he wants the cop to slow down or to stop beating him, we want the cop and this goddamned scale to stop increasing and to start dropping.
