Once the future of the Miami “Heat” franchise, Justise Winslow, ultimately was traded earlier “this” season, which seems like 100 seasons ago, after season after season of injuries and missed games. Miami management and Justise came to distrust each other over the handling of the injuries with the team thinking it wasn’t an injury issue so much as a playing through pain, or even discomfort, issue. Justise was routinely nixed from games with the official explanation being “soreness” in his back. So anyway, Miami shipped him to Memphis. Last night, in his first practice with Memphis he and a teammate had contact and Justise fell to the floor. And injured his hip. And is now out of action until next season. My Lord.
