I'll tell you one thing that's going on with ManU, Marcus Rashford. I watched highlights of the loss to SheffU a couple weeks ago: In the 61', Sheff up 1-0, Rashford took a free kick and shot it dead center of the goal, right into the arms of the 'keeper.
That's the Gay Blades there in pink.
Bruno Fernandes showed Rashford something about placing a shot today against Everton. Fernandes gave ManU a 2-0 lead in the 45' with an exquisite goal just out of the reach of the fingertips of the Everton 'keeper.
Ahh. Are you kidding me. That's maybe the goal of the year. Just sublime.
But at the same point in the match as his gut shot against SheffU Rashford did it again! Off one of ManU's patented give-and-go's with the match tied 2-2,
Rashford was sent in alone on goal,
And plop,
shot it right at the Everton goalkeeper who bellied it away and out of bounds.
Manchester United dropped four points at home in those two matches. You're not going to have many better chances to score in the Premier League than Marcus Rashford did in those two matches and he shot both balls right at the goalkeeper. That's something.
