Okay, we got the Quasi's quasi-official update at 5:11 p.m. It's not gonna be good. Let's see how not-good.

+12% Cases. Interesting. One points less than yesterday's iteration which was one point less than the day before yesterday's iteration.

+7% Hospitalizations. Same as previous.

-25% Deaths.  Three points less than yesterday which was three points less than the day before. 

In this iteration the 14-day metric over the three categories trends slightly closer to flat.

Daily averages April 3 through 9 except for Vax

67,923 Cases. Up. That's a 2.65%, 1,800 cases/day increase, a significant jump. Cases are tailing up.

42,563 Oh you motherfuckers. Hospitalizations. Up.

736 Deaths.The exact same as April 2-8! This is a day of interestingness across all metrics and all categories. Quasi's, this is almost too interesting. Have you seen Kristof's sperm?

That is three days sooner than the previous record under President Biden and is also a three-day acceleration from Biden+78, the biggest advance the president has achieved since I have been paying attention to the metric.
