It turns out Cognos and Officios both thought the “Heat” did need a true center!  So, they went out and got one, Dewayne Dedmon, 7’0”, 31 y.o., been a pro 11 years, including two in the D-League, and sports an NBA career average  6 ppg and 6 rpg. In short he’s a stiff. The “Heat” organization is panicking and reaching with the Dedmon signing, the core players are lost and playing bewildered, there are twenty-some games left in the season, and the team is likely to have to “play in” to “get in” to the playoffs. This months after Miami went to the NBA Finals. The season is being lost.
