54

At least 70 and up to 86 more victims may still be under the rubble. Two weeks since the collapse they have finally acknowledged that there is "zero chance" that any others than the ONE person who was rescued on June 24 have survived. The final death toll will be 124 to 140. Mayor Levine Cava has stated that she is responsible for the site and the work that has been done there. She is responsible, therefore, for the desecrated, mangled, unrecognizable, decomposed, liquefying corpses that her “elite” ground troops have recovered. She has disgraced the dead and traumatized their living loved ones. She has utterly failed her responsibility and should resign.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Alan Cominsky has destroyed the credibility of the department he leads and disgraced the profession with his timid, tentative, scared, incompetent dire miscues. The Mayor or whoever her successor is should do the right thing and summarily fire Cominsky.

Governor DeSantis has been present nearly every day since the collapse, on at least one occasion with a woman dressed more for a hot tub rendezvous with Matt Gaetz than in the sober, somber attire appropriate at a mass grave site. All the escort was missing was a “I really don’t care, do U?" windbreaker. DeSensitive wants to follow in the footsteps of his butt-buddy 46-1. In justice those footsteps would lead to impeachment, recall, or defeat in 2022 rather than the White House.

A grand jury is being assembled to determine cause and agency in the collapse. That is the most important work of the grand jury. I hope against hope though that the investigation does not spare the other scandal here, the scandal of the “rescue” operation. All three of the above-named miscreants should be persons of interest in that latter for their dereliction of duty.
