You know, I call foul on the Times for publishing that goddamned box so prominently on their front page without providing the temporal caveat in the box text, "pre-Delta." Fooled me! I immediately walked to my struggle session. NOBODY was thinking about breakthrough cases pre-Delta, COVID-19 was going, going, gone. Hell, Dr. Walensky didn't rescind her "vaxed-no-mask" advisement until July 27. All of the Times data summarized in that goddamned box pre-dates Delta. This isn't a two-minute minor, this is a ten-minute major misconduct penalty I am issuing the New York Times.
