In mid-career as a trial lawyer I conceived of and implemented what I called a "boomerang" strategy: taking your opponent's best argument and making it your own and then throwing it right back at him with double the force, as one does a boomerang. It confused them, disarmed them and knocked them flat. Boomeranging your opponent is precisely what Nick Visser recognized intuitively to be what Biden-Harris did with that ad.
The president and his team have done this repeatedly. They did it with “MAGA Extremists”, changing the Trump movement’s IDENTITY into a pejorative. Now, every time 45th and his MAGA Extremists are pictured in their regalia, the hook sets deeper, the pejorative gets amplified to a shout. It is a go-to weapon in their quiver.
"Let's Go Brandon!" was the euphemized "Fuck Joe Biden" chant heard at college football games in the slave states the last two falls. Team Biden boomeranged it into the Dark Brandon meme, a president and candidate who has infamous powers to zap opponents with death rays.
The Republicans don't stand a chance against this guy in 2024.
