Our Negotiating Partners.

"Shouldn't take those things seriously."

Right? That's one of the takes on the Ayatollah's tweets today.

Oh really? He's just the spiritual leader of Iran, its most powerful figure, the one person without whose blessing nothing gets done. Why would we take him seriously? Shouldn't take his tweets about the extermination of Israel any more seriously than we did oh I don't know Mein Kampf, right?

Let me ask you guys and female-guys something, ok? When you pooh-pooh those statements, when you say "don't take them seriously" you're saying he really doesn't mean them, right? That if you put those words into "context," if you consider his whole body of work they would be aberrational, out of character, it would be clear from all of his tweets and sermons or whatever that these are not to be taken "seriously." EARTH to takers-this is what the mother-fucker been saying his whole entire mother-fucking life! He has never said "I, um, recognizesisraelsrighttoexist," nothing close.

"They're just for domestic consumption."

Exactly! He has his constituency, right? Which means he's not just one crazy bastard like oh I don't know Hitler he has constituents, followers like I have eight followers he has 80,000,000 followers, he has people who worship him unlike my eight followers he has 80,000,000 people who read those tweets who go "Right on! Brother" or whatever, "Allahu Akhbar," "Allahu Ayatollah" or whatever, people who put into practice what that crazy bastard preaches.

"He has to appease his hardliners, too."

EARTH to takers, Take 2: HE is a hardliner, okay?!

Why did we want to negotiate with this guy? America has been the "Great Satan" to Ayatollah Khamenei all of his adult life. To Ayatollah Khomeini before him. To Iran since 1979. Aside from the insult and we're at the adults' table, we let crazies at the kids' table insult us...Oh, we don't? Let's say we do for argument...we ignore the insult qua insult, why would you trust people who are willing to "make a deal with the devil," that's a common phrase, you make a deal with the devil because you have to, not because you want to. You will say anything to get what you want, in this case, sanctions relief. When you make a deal with the DEVIL, if you break the deal you're only breaking an agreement with evil. Hell (intended), you'd be considered holier, more honorable, if you did break a deal with evil, wouldn't you? There was a guy, about 30 years ago, robbed a bank. Took a loaded shotgun and taped the muzzle to the bank manager's neck and taped his hand-with the finger on the trigger-to the shotgun so that the three were one, a trinity in electrical tape. He had demands. "I want $20,000 or whatever, a get-away car, plane tickets, a house in the Bahamas or whatever and some scissors. I'll release this guy unharmed when I'm on the beach or whatever. NO arrest." What were the cops to do? "$20,000, check; car-compact ok?, check; plane tix-'Wanna get away,' check; house, check; scissors, check; no arrest, check." Moment he cut the bank manager free, "You're under arrest." Perfectly legal! Bravo cops! A deal made with the devil is unenforceable.

We are the guardians of our ward, Israel's, security. A guardian is not true to his responsibility who makes a deal with a party who repeatedly and continuously states his intent to murder his ward.
