As Republicans occupy a lower branch on the human evolutionary tree we come to expect from them "thinking" such as this, from their 2012 standard-bearer Mitt "Wrong Way" Romney. This guy is hard-wired to go the wrong way, he can't help. Romney bitched about Democratic calls for the release of his tax returns in the 2012 campaign. Finally, long after he got the Republican nomination he released...one year's tax returns. Now, Romney is making the same calls on Donald Trump that he bitched were being made on him in 2012.
See, Republicans are hard-wired to do this, always to go the wrong way, they can't help it, they're brains are not highly evolved. We encourage Republicans in their chosen path but they really don't need assistance.:
“Frankly, I think we have good reason to believe that there’s a bombshell in Donald Trump’s taxes. I think there is something there,” Romney said on Fox News’ “Your World” with Neil Cavuto. “The reason I think there is a bombshell in there is because every time he is asked about his taxes, he dodges and delays.
“I think in Donald Trump’s case it is likely to be a bombshell. There are things that could be issues, and when people decide they don’t want to give you their taxes, it’s usually because there’s something they don’t want you to see.
“[Trump] likes to tell people how well he’s done, why isn’t he willing to let us look at the tax return? It was an issue in my campaign. That’s why I’m so sensitive to it. We’re going to select our nominee – we really ought to see from all three of these fellows what their taxes look like to see if there is an issue there.

"The voters have a right to see those tax returns before they decide who the nominee ought to be."
