While researching for yesterday's post I came across this memorial sculpture to the 1900 Galveston, Texas hurricane victims, 6,000-12,000. Right at water's edge on the beach where the hurricane came ashore! A man raises his right arm and looks skyward in appeal to, or to seek explanation from, God while he attempts to shelter his wife and child with his other arm.
It is perfect. A very moving sculpture.
