I think if Manchester City were having a better EPL season I wouldn't be writing as much about Trump.
Trump is going to go on a win streak in the next few primaries. He's going to get closer and closer to the nomination and the Republican distemper will flare accordingly. It is just the most absurd way to select a nominee. Trump is having a cow. Fears about Trump-predicted "riots" in Cleveland will be stoked-do you know some delegates have already been threatened with physical harm by Trumpists? The Trump delegate operation has been a disaster. Cruz has consistently out-maneuvered him-all by the rules!, which is also Trump's point, he is getting gamed by the Republican Party's absurd rules. Trump is not getting gamed, he is getting outsmarted by a smarter opponent and that makes not-so-smart Trumpists violent. Ah jeez.
Trump's big wins in the next few-New Yawk, Pa., et al-are already baked in. If he performs at the polls as he is predicted to (and gets commensurate delegates) he still is going to be short of 1,237. He has to out-perform in Indiana, that's the new Wisconsin, and of course in the "Golden State." There was a Politico lede that "Trump is getting crushed in Indiana,"-That's where some of the delegates who were threatened are from.-so put that in your pipe and smoke it. The CW now is it's first ballot or bust for Trump, that if he doesn't have 1,237 at the end of the balloting-'Cause who trusts Trump's delegate counting at this point?-he will lose on a second or subsequent ballot.
And of course there is renewed talk of Trump going Third Party if that happens. About which I have a question: About a month ago when the #NeverTrump'ers were talking third party their own selves, the talk was so urgent because by mid-April, which it like is already-it would be too late to get on all the state ballots in November. So my question is, if now is too late for #NeverTrump, isn't it too late for Trump? Won't it be impossible in June at the Mistake By The Lake? (Boy, that was never a more apt nickname than now, huh?) So I don't know if the chattering class chattering about a Trump third party run are chattering with a full set of choppers, if you catch my drift.
Alls I know is the Republican Party has made a complete hash of nominating its own candidate, it can't even govern itself. It cannot govern the country.
"Warriors" go for 73 tonight.
