It happened at Pulse, a gay nightclub. The perpetrator, Omar Mateen, was shot and killed in a standoff with police. IS has praised Mateen and the massacre but there are no claims of responsibility from IS or other Islamic group. There are headlines proclaiming the massacre an act of Islamic terror. Law enforcement in Orlando made some statements that they thought Mateen was radicalized but the FBI is not confirming.
