Anthony Doerr's All the Light We Cannot See is a beautiful story. Mr. Doerr's writing is precise and intricate as the crystalline structures and electronics that are the book's backdrops. The symbolism Mr. Doerr employs, I haven't gotten the half of it, is so skillful that the reader knows there's something there even if (s)he doesn't know quite what. The book was ten years in the making and the immense thought that went into those ten years is evident on every page. It is magnificent, this is a magnificent accomplishment by Anthony Doerr.
