Today we revisit these tweets by the Moron:
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man...

Being nice to Rocket Man hasn't worked in 25 years, why would it work now? Clinton failed, Bush failed, and Obama failed. I won't fail.

Sometimes I read something, get the gist, and am also vaguely aware that there is more, frequently unwritten, to thorough understanding. I have urged close reading: In the law one has to do that with case law; with The New York Times when they were Quasi-Official one had to read closely and between the lines. With the Moron, close reading?! HAHAHAHA! In this instance, yes. When I first read those tweets I got the same feeling I do when reading a complex court opinion, that although the gist, the "holding," was easily grasped, there was more that was implied but unwritten to full understanding. The universal take on the tweets is that the Moron undercut and humiliated Tillerson. Certainly true. Obviously. Apparent on the surface. Reading closely there was more, and this is what it was:
Trump did not know that Tillerson was talking to the North Koreans. Let's look at the first one again:
I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man...
He told Tillerson then, Sunday morning. Tillerson was in fucking Beijing when Trump sent that tweet. If Trump had told him before Tillerson went to China, "Rex, you wonderful Secretary of State you, it is a waste of time to try to negotiate with LRM, DON'T!", Tillerson would not have been in fucking Beijing negotiating with LRM.
Did Trump even know that Tillerson was in Beijing? Why did Trump send Tillerson to Beijing? Or did Tillerson decide to go on his own? When did Trump know that Tillerson was going to or was in Beijing?
The tweets establish beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump gave Tillerson no instructions before Tillerson was already in Beijing negotiating with the Chinese and talking directly to the North Koreans! That was reported Saturday night. Did Trump find out Tillerson was in Beijing negotiating and talking to DPRK-dom when he read it in the papers like everybody else? The second tweet points to "yes":
...Save your energy Rex, we'll do what has to be done!
This is from WaPo::
Trump...was incensed last weekend when he thought Tillerson was “freelancing” a diplomatic overture to North Korea, one official said.
On the substance of Tillerson's mission the undersigned opined previously that the Moron does not want Tillerson's diplomacy to succeed. He wants war. The WaPo article immediately above points to that and this is from the Los Angeles Times:
On the eve of Tillerson’s visit, China’s Foreign Ministry said it wanted both the United States and North Korea to show “sincerity” in the pursuit of a diplomatic solution. That’s what Tillerson was trying to do...
Which "incensed" Trump!
The downside of Trump’s choleric diplomacy extends far beyond Tillerson’s wounded dignity; his tweets interfered with a diplomatic effort that had actually been working.
And Trump does not want it to work! Because:
[Trump] appears to believe the alternatives are already down to two: Either “Little Rocket Man” capitulates in the face of threats, or we go to war.
L.A. Times, feel free to cite to this here learned treatise.
And this, from the same WaPo article is just how pathologically narcissistic a Moron the Moron is:
Trump believes his top diplomat often seems more concerned with what the world thinks of the United States than with tending to [Trump's] personal image.
Imagine! The de facto president of the United States is PISSED that the United States Secretary of State is more concerned with the United States than with the de facto president's "PERSONAL IMAGE"!

Since before being installed by Putin in his present position the Moron has been tweeting that the DPRK will not acquire nuclear capability. Now they have and that does violence to Trump's promise, to his "personal image." He will do violence by killing 25,000,000 before seeing violence done to his personal image.
On Iran, too. Trump has lambasted JPCOA ever since becoming a candidate. Made it a co-feature of his U.N. speech. Trump soon has to certify to Congress whether JPCOA continues to be in America 2.0's national interest. He cannot do that without exposing himself as a Moron. Bad for the "personal image" you know. And he is pissed at Tillerson for arguing that JPCOA IS in America 2.0's interest:

[Trump] has bristled at being “steered” toward what he views as an inauthentic position, several people familiar with the dispute said.
In this case [Iran] and others where they have disagreed, Tillerson advocated what Trump has complained is a “totally conventional” position that is at odds with Trump’s break-the-mold philosophy.
Trump doesn't want conventional, he wants nuclear.
On China's role in this charade. CHINA: YOU ARE BEING PLAYED!:
China’s collaboration comes at a price...Xi Jinping, wants assurances that the United States is aiming for negotiations, not a military crisis that would create chaos on his border.
And who wants "chaos"? The Moron's puppet-master Putin! Xi, don't look now but you are being ENCIRCLED!
On general moronishness, there's this from the Ex-Quasis:
[Tillerson] has regularly expressed astonishment at how little Mr. Trump understands the basics of foreign policy.
The Daily Moron finis for today.
