Team Inconsistent

The two game winning streak is over! Miami blew another one. Led by eight at the half. Had a four point 102-98 lead with 1:38 left in the game and those were its last points. Indy scored the last twelve. 110-102 the final.

Did I tell ya? YoungWhiteside? Take it to the bank, 15 boards a game. Tonight he had 20. You got a bigger return on your investment. You're welcome.

The story of this loss was yes, inconsistency, the "Heat" shot like they were drunk. As the last 1:38 of the game attests. Look at these shooting numbers, these are the the five guys who played the most minutes:

McGruder 4/11 34"
Whiteside 5/8 33"
Johnson 5/12 33"
Richardson 6/17 29"
Winslow 4/13 28"
               24/61 .393

That is pathetic. Justice Winslow must have pictures of Erik Spoelstra and Pat Riley buggering each other. There is no basketball reason why he plays as much as he did. Justice's bird pumps in the key sequence down the stretch did in Miami:

-With 52.7 left and Indy up 103-102, "Heat" with the ball, Justice, a three foot peep, BLOCKED. But the "Heat" got the rebound!
-46.8 ball passed out to Justice at the three-point line the crowd yelling "THREE!" andjusticemissed. "AH."
-43.5 the same "Pacer," Myles Turner, who blocked Justice's three foot shot grabbed the rebound off Justice's missed three point shot.
-32.1 "Pacers" make the transition basket and it's 105-102.

That was a five point swing in Indy's favor in 20.6" and Justice did it all by himself.

But wait! It's still a three point game. Surely Justice can miss another three or do something else to fuck it up more. Surely.

Heat Full Timeout

Erik the Great substitutes Kelly Olynyk, who had a sparkling game, 20 points in 21 minutes, for Justice. Intelligent substitution by Erik, should have happened earlier but Justice has pictures of Eric getting his booty taken by Pat so he waited until now. Fine.

:21.4 a Josh Richardson bad pass turnover and a Josh Richardson foul, very efficient by Josh, gave the ball back to Indy who promptly called a full TO to set up for the kill. When they come back out of the time out Erik substituted Justice back in for Kelly. Dad, have you seen Rusty?

:15.4 Justice commits a personal foul :) "Pacers" make both free throws and it's 107-102. Turn out the lights, the party's O-ver.
