A reminder that American Media Inc., The Enquirer's parent company, was fined $187,500 in 2021 by the Federal Election Commission to settle accusations that it violated campaign finance law in making a six-figure payment to McDougal. Blanche is telling jurors this payment wasn’t a catch-and-kill situation.
