"Thanks to the NSA, the Sky May Be Falling on US Cloud Providers."-Businessweek

"U.S.-based cloud computing providers are projected to lose up to 20% of foreign market revenues or $35B over the next three years as a result of disclosures involving PRISM.
The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), a Washington,
D.C.-based think tank published "How Much Will PRISM Cost the U.S. Cloud Computing Industry?"...on August 5th.  The report highlights how the disclosures involving PRISM quickly are turning into a catalyst that rival countries’ cloud providers are using for their competitive advantage."-Forbes.

"First, as I've said several weeks ago, I love PRISM.

This is not because I think PRISM is a good idea but a great opportunity to be exploited for the benefit of the European Union.  The 'breach of trust' can be used to renegotiate trade, create a more favourable economic environment for Europe and even resolve some tax issues with certain companies.

I outlined how to do this in the above linked post and it begins by declaring outrage and threatening to ban US web services in Europe...You have to be prepared to do this and encourage the development of our own equivalent systems. This will require a huge investment fund. I suggested about 100 billion Euros and this is nothing more than a modern technology equivalent of 'Freedom's Forge'...Would I do this? Without any hesitation. I love PRISM and thank you America."-Simon Wardley, British business executive at Leading Edge Forum.

What Americans care most about is money. That is how they pursue happiness, their birth right. The American people must be made to change. Their economy is the soft underbelly of their power. This, attacking the American economy, is the most effective means of attacking American power.
