"Heat"-Beans

I forgot to mention this yesterday and I kick myself because it's crucial. I'm watching Ethan Skolnick and Ira Winderman right now and Ira mentioned it early: that was a Jimmy Butler "masterpiece" yesterday. Why? Not because he was team high scoring, not because he missed a 3W by two boards, because he took ONE SHOT in the FIRST HALF. ONE SHOT. Jimmy reads NBA games as well as anyone in the game, even over LBJ, and you all know what I think of LeBron's basketball IQ. Jimmy Butler does not go into a game thinking "Only way we're going to win this is if I take over"--a Great One mentality, Michael, LeBron. Jimmy reads the game, "Hmm, we're puttin' up 79 in the 1H? We got a 13 point lead after one, growing into 26. Hmm. I'm gonna keep feedin' my guys, playing solid D, let them do the scoring. If it ain't broke don't fix it." That is remarkable in today's NBA, the NBA of the last 25 years. It was not that Jimmy was cold, couldn't shoot, he took ONE SHOT, how would he even know?! It is that it was deliberate. He read the game. When the "Heat" needed it, and boy did they ever, in the second half, Jimmy said (with his play) "Hop on my back fellas, I'll carry you." Amazing game by Jimmy Butler. Amazing player, Jimmy Butler. Okay, back to Ethan and Ira.
