Somebody Else, the author of the scouting report on Chinese-descended Luol Deng, should be fired by whichever NBA team employs him. (What do you think the chances are Somebody Else is of African descent? That would be ironic.) Under the standard of "reasonable and articulable suspicion" Somebody Else's employer organization should be subject to a sweeping top-to-bottom investigation.
Under "reasonable and articulable suspicion" Danny Ferry, General Manager of Atlanta, should not be disciplined (although he was) for failure to orally "edit" Somebody Else's written report. William C. Rhoden of The New York Times wrote that he is "curious" how Ferry responded to Bruce Levenson's email. That is more important, it seems to me.
