Sporting Roundup.

Reverse chronology:

Clemson hung on to beat North Carolina and Michigan State came from behind with a nine-minute drive to beat Iowa. So there you have it: the college tackle football final four are Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma and Michigan State.

In professional basketball tonight Miami beat Cleveland, who were without LeBron James. Cleveland played, and lost, Friday in New Orleans and James took off the second night of a back-to-back. That strikes me as disrespectful toward Miami. The "Heat" have a better record than New Orleans and are of course a bigger rival than are the "Pelicans." If James was going to take one of the two nights off it would make more sense to skip New Orleans for Miami...Maybe that is respectful toward Miami: Cleveland is not playing great, Miami actually is now in first place ahead of them in the conference, James and the "Cavs" might have decided "We don't want to play Miami at full strength right now and give them ideas. We have two built-in excuses: Kyrie Irving is still out and if James takes this game off and we lose it won't mean anything." That could be. Maybe Cleveland's problem is that they are a little fragile mentally right now; their confidence is a little down. Cleveland is now 13-7 and regardless of the thinking, that shouldn't be.
........

Alabama reaches the college football playoff by beating Florida.

The NBA "Warriors" won their 21st straight game beating Toronto in Canada.

Oh, God bless them: The University of Texas, Team Schizoid, beat 12th-ranked Baylor. Texas is now 5-7 with wins over Baylor and #3 Oklahoma and a 24-0 loss to 3-9 Iowa State.

Houston, now 12-1, #19 beat Temple, 10-3/#22 to win the American Athletic Conference championship.
........

The college tackle football regular season is finis, this is "Championship Week" or something. I'm not doing Happy/Sad-urday anymore.

Oh! I see said the blind man! Really gonna miss it, huh? So this is replacement and will not be regularly scheduled.

I don't know what is wrong with Manchester City this season. After a torrid start which resulted in them being handed the EPL title by the cognoscenti they have been up and down, up and down. I don't understand it. They lost today at Stoke. The "Red Sox" drew, Woolwich Arsenal won and Lester won. Lester are now two points clear in first place, The Arse second, "Angels" third, ManU fourth, Chelsea fourteenth.

I don't know what is wrong with the Cleveland "Cavaliers" either...Basically, I don't know shit...Be that as it may, Cleveland lost again last night, to New Orleans, who I think had only won four times so far this year. Cleveland is now 13-6, in second place in the Eastern Conference. Their win percentage, .684, is still very good, fourth overall in the league...but they are not playing to their potential. No, they don't have Kyrie Irving back yet; yes, of course that will improve things over time, I doubt at the very first. They just shouldn't be 13-6. Cleveland plays at 11-6 Miami tonight.

Chow. Chow for Now. Nor will I be updating this thing every frigging hour. So there.
