It Mattered Who Won the Election

It mattered to them who spray-painted that wall on November 9.

They feel invincible now; they know their man is invincible. They feel they can come out of their trailers now. Be open about it, not just in the "safe space" of a Trump rally--"Fuck that nigger!" They can now say it in public, no more "political correctness." Now, they can go into black neighborhoods and spray-paint their racist taunts: "Black Lives Don't Matter," and there's nothing you can do about it! HA-HA-HA-HA-HA! "Because, niggers--your VOTES don't matter!" HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

If they had lost on Tuesday...God, can you imagine if Clinton had won in the Electoral College but lost the popular vote to Trump?! Oh my God. Their would have been "riots," Trump's words before Cleveland, black people would have been attacked, killed; Trump and they would never accept such a result! Trump would be suing everybody he could get his lawyers on and screaming "RIGGED!"

Trump and his low-life's LOST the popular vote by over 200,000. Doesn't matter. It really doesn't. But now they are emboldened to say, "Doesn't matter, niggers, see, we won anyway!" HA-HA-HA-HA!

It mattered who won on Tuesday,  it mattered a lot, but...But:

"It matters who wins on Tuesday, it matters a lot, but...America does not have "a chance to defend itself" on Tuesday. Whoever wins on Tuesday will win by a margin of 1% or 2%, 3% or 4%, maybe 6%. Whoever wins on Tuesday will get about 65,000,000 votes; the loser will get about 60,000,000 votes.
...
"In a democracy there is never any doubt: the people are responsible. They get the leader they want and the one they deserve. Win the presidency or lose the presidency, 60,000,000 racists have not been
defeated.
...
"They have always been here among us and have always been racist but haven't shouted it from the roof tops or worn it on their sleeves. They didn't want anybody to know, were kind of sheepish to say it, sort of embarrassed, and we didn't know!

"And then along came Trump.
...
"They are us. We have met the enemy and they are us.

"I now recognize who we are.

"The fate of the Republic is on OUR shoulders and whoever wins on Tuesday that fate is likely decided: America as we have known her began her death rattle in 2016. She will be pronounced November 9 or she may hold on a little while longer but ultimately there is no defense against 60,000,000."

So, yes, it mattered who won the election, it really did. But, more importantly, really, this is more important, America as we have known it was pronounced dead on November 9. A second American Revolution, a mobocratic overthrow of the Republic, occurred. We await America 2.0. And we should be planning now to prevent it. Can Democrats stymie Trump as Republicans vowed on the evening of the Inaugural Ball in 2008 to obstruct anything President Obama attempted? Can Democrats refuse to give hearing to any Trump nominee to the Supreme Court as Republicans did on Justice Scalia's death, as John McCain and others vowed to oppose any nominee Hillary Clinton would have advanced? In both cases, my answer is "I don't know, but they, we, should." Can Democrats shut down the government as the Republicans did? Probably but probably shouldn't do that; that didn't turn out too well for the Republicans when they did.

The point is, there's a lot to think about doing and things to pick from that larger pile to do. As my daughter said, "Let's go." "Let's fight until our last breath." Chip off this old fightin' block, that Child is, a chip off the old block.
