The league's fourth place club, Tottenham Hotspur, may yet (although I doubt it in the extreme) be crowned kings of all Europe. They eliminated league leaders and presumptive champions, City. Liverpool, second, came within millimeters in a lone seasonal loss to City of matching Arsenal 2003/04 as Invincibles. Third Chelsea and fifth Arsenal now play for the silver medal in Europa.
There has never been a league to equal the continental dominance and the transcendent excellence of its top clubs as this year's English Premier League.
