That seems up a bit more than expected today from what I remember the number being last night, and in fact it is. WaPo totaled 498 for all of yesterday, June 8. Already today they've counted 686. That is an alarming spike. Now, this is interim! It's all interim. It's going to change. They love to piss. me. off. But that is not good interim.
And there has been a strange inversion in the maps. The pattern had been: New Cases remain stubbornly high; Deaths continue relievingly down. For which the undersigned believed he had provided lucid, semi-learned explanation last night. So to vex me they did this.

And then damn if we don't see Deaths having risen from 424 June 7 to 498 June 8 and now at 3 p..m. E.T. June 9 they're already at 521.
Which is all the undersigned can do at this particular juncture in the rent fabric of space-time.
